Simpson (York) Ltd operate an integrated Quality and Environmental management system as the most effective way of discharging our obligations to our employees, customers and the wider community. The System is maintained to international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 and we carry out frequent internal audits using qualified audit staff and regular management reviews to ensure compliance and to provide continual improvements.

Our ISO 9001:2008 Quality management system is an essential part of our business process, requiring continual improvement by self-evaluation with a goal of ensuring that current and future customer expectations can be met and exceeded.
 

Our ISO 14001:2008 Environmental management system seeks to continually improve our environmental performance by reducing the way that our activities, products and services impact on the environment and to ensure compliance with legislation; for example, by prevention of pollution of emissions to air, land or water and management of waste.

We supply our Quality and Environmental policies and company objectives to all of our subcontractors and induct operatives before they work on site to increase their awareness - they are also freely available in the public domain by clicking on the icons below.

We employ our own benchmarking system to closely monitor our own Quality and Environmental performance with our clients and apply a similar system to our subcontractors to assess and manage their performance.

For example, we continually monitor our CO2 emissions and Waste Management activities and have targeted to reduce our emissions against turnover by 5% a year.
